About Ri

I grew up in country NSW Australia, and went to Loreto, Kirribilli in Sydney for my high school years. I studied Arts at University and later I became a high school teacher, while saving money to travel.

After several years work and travel in Europe and Asia I returned to  England where I married a musician and gave birth to my first daughter. In 1976 I met a foremost meditation master from India whose influence ignited my spiritual exploration and spiritual journey to this day.

I went to the Ashram in India for the first time in 1977. Returning to Los Angeles I gave birth to my second daughter and continued meditation and spiritual studies while bringing up my children. I was lucky to meet a great watercolourist at Pasadena College, whose great painting skills finally nourished the artistic part of me.

In 1981 I returned to Australia with my two daughters. We spent the next years visiting the Ashram in India, and an affiliated Ashram in Melbourne, then settled in Eltham, Vic,  where my daughters went to high school.

In subsequent visits to India and USA I studied teaching-level Yoga, Meditation and Eastern Philosophy. Later on I gained my Psychotherapy, Counselling and Spiritual Healing Diplomas. During the 80's and 90's I ran yoga, meditation and self-development workshops, residentials and courses in Melbourne and within Victoria. I also taught painting and calligraphy classes and workshops throughout Victoria.  I volunteered in the Art Dept at the Melbourne Ashram.

Currently I live in Ocean Shores, Byron Shire, northern NSW.  I  teach workshops in Meditation, Personal and Spiritual Development at the Byron Community College.  I was a founding member of the Ocean Shores Art Expo, an open exhibition created to bring the community together through the arts.
